A Perfect Day in Savannah
I just hate how expensive flights can be traveling to Savannah, how and ever once you get there, everything is walking distance in The Historic District. It is often compared to South Carolina’s Charleston, where the latter is more buttoned up and Savannah, more haunted homes, slightly less brides, and similar Gullah heritage. Similar amount of butter. Three ways to spend your perfect day below.
DAY I.
MORNING
Dottie's Market for brunch.
AFTERNOON
The Salt Table, Savannah Bee Company, The Paris Market, and the rest of Broughton St. for retail.
Beach Institute African American Cultural Center.
EVENING
Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room for comfort food.
The Alley Cat Lounge for cocktails.
DAY II.
MORNING
Collins Quarter at Forsyth for brunch.
Spanish moss in Forsyth Park.
AFTERNOON
Historic District mansion tour, pick one.
Leopold's Ice Cream for the right to comment on the town staple.
Ashford Tea Company.
EVENING
Simple Soul of Savannah for dinner.
Artillery or Lone Wolf Lounge for drinks.
DAY III.
MORNING
Auspicious Baking Company for pastries.
AFTERNOON
Pin Point Heritage Museum on Gullah Geechee culture.
Sweet Potatoes Kitchen for banana pudding.
EVENING
Cotton & Rye or The Grey.
A Sorrel-Weed House ghost tour.
